The old wireless modem router that came with my Sky broadband is getting on a bit now, and is a little unreliable.

I want a new one which is FAST and pleasing to the eye as it sits in the living room.

It will connect the iMac and laptop wireless, and Xbox 360 wired ethernet.

There's so much choice and I gather a lot of routers I'm looking at are for cable connections and not suitable.

Any recommendations?

How do the HDD Audio road cyclists prepare for such an event?

Today I managed 70 miles but only because I took a packed lunch and stopped for a couple of breaks and to buy additional fluid.

Should I just keep cycling these shorter distances, but improving the speed on each attempt?

A pic from today below. Where better place to stop and eat your banana?

Headed out West of Sedona to Red Rock Crossing, to re-visit Cathedral Rock as the sun went down. $10 to get into the 'park', but I figured it would be worth the outlay.

Went the whole hog, tripod, polarizer, self timer to avoid camera shake, etc etc - pissed off SWMBO as I spent an full hour shooting the same scene as the light changed.

Had a couple of Indian tourists set up their Nikon and tripod to my right - so must have been the right spot! ;)

Here are three shots from the set - 5D MKII, 28-70 f2.8L lens, f16 ISO 100

If you're ever visiting the SW USA, make sure you pencil in a visit to Sedona AZ.

The rock formations are amazing, and rival Yosemite / Grand Canyon etc IMHO.

This formation has a rock shaped like a diner coffee pot on the right (center frame) - hence the name - and dominates the West Sedona area near Highway 89A.

Shot with a circ polarizer, then treated in Photoshop with their IR B&W filter.
